A thank you note to Chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen:

Dear Chairwoman,

We, the delegates from the Taiwanese community, were very moved by your speech at yesterday’s luncheon hosted by Congressman Royce, Campbell and Rohrabacher. When most of the world is turning its back on Taiwan, your brave voice to speak up for Taiwan in the Congress, and your staunch support of a democratic Taiwan is a glorious beacon of a glowing light in the dark.

There are no words to express our gratitude for what you’ve done for us.

With the constant threat of a bullying neighbor, we need to work harder to keep the hard earned democracy going. We believe in self determination, peace, and freedom – the same American value that we enjoy today in the US. With the upcoming January 2012 Taiwan presidential election, your timely help will surely boost the morale of the people in Taiwan.
