March 30, 2011
Dear FAPA Members:
This is my second call for all FAPA members to contribute to Japan Relief. The death toll in Japan has now exceeded 11,000 and even more are unaccounted for. The nuclear crisis there remains to be resolved. Your contribution will be a timely act of compassion and solidarity for our fellow human beings next door to our beloved country Taiwan. The FAPA Standing Committee has set a deadline of April 30, 2011 for our Japan Relief project. Please send in your check now.
Please know that your donation to this worthy cause is tax-deductible. The leaders of Taiwanese-American organizations will collectively determine the destination of our pooled money. One highly recommended recipient is the Japan Red Cross Society. I will report to you on this subject in the near future. For now make your check payable to “FAPA” and indicate “Japan Relief” in the memo line. Mail your check to the following address:
Formosan Association for Public Affairs
552 7th St. SE
Washington, D.C. 20003
Thank you for your generosity.
Bob I. Yang, President
FAPA
